Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi who also heads the African Union, addressed the UN General Assembly in New York September 23, 2009. His 96-minute speech marked the first time he addressed the international body. In an interview with Al Jazeera's Ghida Fakhry, Col. Gaddafi took questions on his UN speech, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the African Union and other topics.
