A Truth Embargo? Researchers discuss academic and scientific proof of flying object sightings

WASHINGTON, DC (FinalCall.com) - In the realm of unusual revelations, Jason Collins can admit that he’s gay and receive support from around the country. But tell someone you’ve seen a UFO and you will be welcomed into an exclusive group of citizens and professionals world wide that have experienced dismissive ridicule as they encounter a truth embargo.

“One of the striking things about UFOs is the discrepancy between the astonishing sightings on the one hand and the lack of responsible treatment of it by major media. Our academic and scientific institutions and our political system,” testified Researcher Richard Dolan May 3, before the Citizen Hearing on Disclosure of an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race (CHD) at the National Press Club April 29-May 3.

“This (is) a shame because there is very good research being done every day. Many of those researchers have been here this week. Others are out there, too, such as the National Aviation Reporting Center on Anomalous Phenomena (NARCAP), which collects and analyzes encounters that the aviation industry has with unknown objects.”

He added, “None of them get any love from the America’s dumdum media, which prefers to lump the whole subject into a big tin foil hate and instead write about the escapades of Kim Kardashian.”

Testimony at the hearing included forty researchers and military/agency witnesses before former members of Congress including Congressmen Roscoe Bartlett, Merrill Cook and Congresswomen Lynn Wolsey, and Darlene Hooley. The CHD attempted to accomplish what they felt Congress has failed to do for forty-five years—seek out the facts surrounding the most important issue of this or any other time. The entire Hearing was filmed as the basis for a forthcoming documentary—Truth Embargo—to be produced by Just Cause Entertainment.

“To understand why there is a truth embargo we need to come to terms with the fact that America’s major media groups lost their independence a long time ago. We all know about media consolidation, we all know about the intimate relationships that have existed between the elite members in the corporate media empire and the political leadership and particular with the military and intelligence community,” said Mr. Dolan.

“Last year—one example only—it was learned that the Pentagon spends some $4 billion a year to sway public opinion. Aside from asking just why Americans ought to be paying their own government to brainwash them—I mean, talk about getting shafted both ways—this is simply one facet of many that highlights a revolving door through which passes the military-industrial complex, the media, the academic community and more.”

Geoffrey Dean Torres, son of Major Milton John Torres, shared his dad’s story of being forced to conceal the truth about his UFO sighting for over 50 years, until Nick Pope from the United Kingdom Minister of Defense declassified the event.

Major Torres served in the USAF from 1951 to 1971. On May 20, 1957 something strange happened. He was part of an intercept squadron stationed in Manston, England. A call came in to intercept something and Major Torres ran for his plane.

“He had orders to shoot this thing down. Dad told me he thought that he might be starting WW III if he were to shoot down a Russian Aircraft. All kinds of thoughts were in his head. The Intercept Controller ordered Dad to fire a full salvo of all 24 rockets at this object. Whatever this object was, they wanted it down,” testified Mr. Torres.

“The most compelling thing Dad said was that this thing was doing things no ordinary aircraft could do. It was defying the laws of physics he said. Not only did it defy the laws of physics but it flew at incredible speeds flying well over mach 10. There was nothing in the Air Force at that time that could come close to that. The F86 D could barely achieve Mach 1.”

He added, “My dad confided in me that this aircraft had to be of alien origin and he was convinced of it. Upon landing his aircraft Dad was contacted by the intercept officer on a secure phone. The person on the line told him that what happened was considered classified and not to discus this with anyone, from his wingman, to his commander. He would be debriefed in the morning by someone from the National Security Agency.”

Why A Truth Embargo?

UFO sightings go all the way back to the fourth century in Chinese texts that report a “moon boat” hovered over China. The earliest sightings in America go back to 1639 at Muddy River in Boston, where strange lights crossed the Charles River according to historians.

These sightings have always subjected the witnesses to an onslaught of ridicule and harassment. Why?

“Lets touch on the matter of oil. Because even a child can understand that these objects do not need oil to travel from Point A to Point B. Whatever powers flying saucers is something different, something better. So if the President were to announce the reality of these things, how long do you think it would be before scientists openly begin to study the nature of propulsion and power systems of UFOs?” Mr. Dolan asked.

“This would immediately challenge oil, not simple as the world’s leading source for power. But it would severely threaten the entire global financial system, which is based on oil. Probably 90 percent of the value of any product you can think of is determined by the energy that went into making and transporting it. In most cases, this means oil. To say nothing of the million of jobs that relies on the petroleum industry. We’re talking One Big Overhaul. Of everything that matters in the global economy.”
On November 4, 2011 the White House issued this statement, “The U.S. government has no evidence that any life exists outside our planet, or that an extraterrestrial presence has contacted or engaged any member of the human race. In addition, there is no credible information to suggest that any evidence is being hidden from the public’s eye.”

Congressman Bartlett was impressed with the days and days of testimony. “How do we get here with this cloak of secrecy? If you’re right and I hope you’re not, there’s little hope they’re going to change this cloak of secrecy. I would like to think these decisions for a cloak of secrecy was to prevent a panic. If that’s it, it’s pretty easy to reverse. No evidence these beings are hostile. No threat. Now we can come clean with America.”

Mr. Dolan was not as optimistic. He explained that the secrecy has its own profitability. When greed, money, power (over the lives of Americans) come into the factor, the incentive for truth goes away.
