A
new reality or the same old game of athlete exploitation?
Pro basketball

good chance of realizing a dream shared by thousands of their peers: the
coveted chance to play in the National Basketball Association, after
hearing their names called at this years NBA draft at New Yorks
Madison Square Garden. And even though three
of the leagues top players, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett and Tracy
McGrady are baby ballers, who jumped from high school courts to pro
arenas, there is still the debate about whether kids should make such
moves.

least, we are not satisfied with the manner in which members of the US
Congress, White conservatives, Black civil rights leaders and members of
the "mainstream" press have handled the issue of "slavery" in the Sudan.
Thus, we have not joined in with those who have jumped on the "slavery"
in the Sudan bandwagon. For the most part, we think those who have been
the most vocal on this issue have either only looked at the issue
superficially, or have embraced the cause because they have hidden
agendas.
