UK judge lifts ban on Farrakhan
LONDON�A High Court judge in London July 31 overturned a 15-year-old order banning the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan from the United Kingdom. A court fight over the exclusion order had been ongoing, and Nation of Islam officials in the United States and in Britain hailed the decision. Justice Michael Turner, the High Court judge, said he will outline his reasons for the decision on Oct. 1. Once that happens, Min. Farrakhan should be able to visit the United Kingdom, observers said.

Blacks in Cincinnati denounce pull-back, call for better protection
It happened to an extent following the 1991 police beating of Los Angeles motorist Rodney King. Now a national debate is brewing about police protection, or the lack thereof, in the Black community following word of a recent �unofficial� police pull-back in Cincinnati. What amounted to a low level �work slow down� in the Queen City was the police response to several days of uprising after police shot and killed a Black man, Timothy Thomas, 19, in April. Cincinnati police, according to reports, slacked on writing tickets and making arrests.more

Kenyan official slams IMF, World Bank

NAIROBI, Kenya (PANA)�Kenya�s Trade and Industry Minister Nicholas Biwott has accused the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) of hampering Third World development, the local media reported  here July 25. He was quoted as saying the two Bretton Woods institutions and some donor countries were impeding the progress of poor nations through the imposition of tough aid conditions.
