Funeral Services set for Dr. Khalid Muhammad

Bro. Khalid, chairman of the New Black Panther Party, died February 17 at Wellstar Kenneston Hospital in Marietta, Georgia, from complications from a massive stroke he suffered on Feb. 14.  At the time of his death, Bro. Khalid was surrounded by his wife, family, friends and the National Committee of the New Black Panther Party for Self Defense.

South African President Mbeki In Call For Slavery Reparations

(PANA) South Africa, host of this year's United Nations conference on racism, is heading for a major row with first world countries over the thorny issue of reparations for slavery and colonialism. President Thabo Mbeki reportedly told a conference of South African heads of diplomatic missions last week that the question of international reparations for these abuses needed to be addressed, signaling that this country was preparing to take a lead on the issue.
