In Chapter 27, page 148, of Our Saviour Has Arrived, the Honorable
Elijah Muhammad wrote:
"Concerning faith in Allah (God), the Bible teaches you and me that Allah
(God) met Abraham and upon submission he was able to get the honor of being
the friend of God because Abraham submitted to the Will of Allah (God). The
history of Abraham is the history of all of the righteous who submit to do
the Will of Allah (God)they are successful."

On page 77 of Volume 11, which introduces Surah 37, of The Meaning of
the Quran, Mr. S. Abdul Ala Maudidi wrote:
"The most instructive of the historical narratives presented in this Surah
is the important event of the pious life of the Prophet Abraham, who became
ready to sacrifice his only son as soon as he received an inspiration from
Allah. In this, there was a lesson not only for the disbelieving Quraish, who
waxed proud of their blood relationship with him, but also for the Muslims
who had believed in Allah and His Messenger. By narrating this event, they
were told what is the essence and the real spirit of Islam, and how a true
believer should be ready to sacrifice his all for the pleasure and approval
of Allah after he has adopted it as his Faith and Creed.
"The last verses of the Surah were not only a warning for the disbelievers
but also good news for the believers who were passing through highly
unfavorable and discouraging conditions on account of their supporting and
following the Holy Prophet. In these verses, they were given the good news
that they should not be disheartened at the hardships and difficulties they
had to encounter in the beginning, for in the end, they alone would attain
dominance, and the standard-bearers of falsehood, who appeared to be dominant
at the time, would be overwhelmed and vanquished at their hands. A few years
later, the turn the events took proved that it was not an empty consolation
but an inevitable reality of which they had been foretold in order to
strengthen their hearts."

Starting in Volume 20, No. 6, of this newspaper, I reported the deathbed
confession of the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan. Witnessed by others, it
was a powerful testimony of the quality of his heart; his faith; his love.
I wrote of a meeting with Minister Farrakhan, in September 1999, when he
told me what his daughter, Sister Fatima, told him that he said, while he was
unconscious and literally dying, in a hospital room a few months earlier.
He asked his daughter to come into the room where we were, that I might
hear her testimony. She told me that while Dr. Alim, her and others worked
feverishly to save his life, her father slipped into unconsciousness. He was
about three minutes from death. In that state, she said, he thanked Allah,
for everything that He had either put or allowed into his life. She
told me that he said to Allah, that if it was His will that He take him in
death, at that time, then heMinister Farrakhanwas ready. She said that he
thanked Allah over and over again.
I was, and am, very privileged to have heard what I did. I wrote that it
was significant to me that a lawyerLewis Meyerswas present, when she later
told her father what he had said. Brother Lewis and later Ministers Ava and
Arif Muhammad (both also attorneys) explained to me the value of deathbed
confessions, which I put in those articles. New subscribers may obtain the
series on Minister Farrakhans deathbed confession, (and a series on "PAIN")
any day on or before August 26th at: www.writtentestimony.com.

Minister Farrakhan is a man of great compassion, from which springs his
empathetic sensitivity, which Allah used for his peace mission. There was
danger from aspects of the American government. There was danger from
overseas powers. There was danger from those who love him, but misunderstood
him. There was danger from the shallow-minded and also from the weak of mind.
Then there were the hypocrites. Danger yet persists.
He was prepared to die, if necessary, for the principles embodied in the
purpose of his peace mission. Even though he did not feel it would happen, he
did those things one does in preparation for the possibility of imminent
death. Minister Farrakhan is a strong believer in the complete righteousness
and the absolute authority of Allah to do as He wills.
Remember, his teacher promised him they would meet again and, in short, he
was divinely promised much that he would attain before death.
He has been a most extraordinary worker for the Nation of Islam, since
1955, when he entered it. Can we really say he has been rewarded for his hard
work and sacrifice from then until now? Sure, he has a few creature comforts
as they are called. But can we call those things his reward, while he has and
is catching hell from every quarter; from every segment of the
population in this country? No and yes, as doing good brings its own reward.
But has his name been fully cleared?
Manywhites and otherwiseknow he is a righteous and a truthful man. Their
voices are not heard, however, above the noise of the wicked and the
ignorant. There are also those who wait to see which way the wind is blowing.
They wont speak truth to those whose power is both tiny and limited. They
dont have the courage of their convictions.
Can we say that he has lived to see the fruition of his lifes work for
which he has sacrificed all? Not materially!
Yet, he was willing to die for the causefor which he has proven his love
and to which he has dedicated his lifeif that was Allahs will, in spite of
all that he was promised.
Im saying straight up that Minister Farrakhan is motivated by the highest
kind of intelligence and the deepest kind of love. He did not do what he did
for personal gain, nor vanity, nor reward. He acted straight out of divine
guidance which utilized his intelligent love of the truth, of and from Master
Fard Muhammad; the Honorable Elijah Muhammad; our people in particular;
humanity in general.
Some years ago he wrote that his Study Guides came on the order of Allah.
He said the same of The Million-Man March. He said the same of every
significant thing he has done, especially since his
more-than-a-vision-experience, on September 17th, 1985, when the Honorable
Elijah Muhammad spoke to him from the Wheel.
Did you see, hear, or feel what he did that moved him to say and do what
he has, especially since 1977? What do we really think of him? Allah knows.
We Muslims mention Abra-hams name, in our prayers, every day. We accept
Allahs words about his worthiness. Now, suppose you lived about 5,000 years
ago. One day you see Abraham, taking his son up a mountain. You learn from
him, or others, that he was taking his son to a place to sacrifice him. You
hear that God told him to do this. What did you really think of Abraham when
you first heard this?
More next issue, Allah willing.
