"Your God is one God: so those who believe
not in the Hereafter, their hearts refuse to know and they are proud.
Undoubtedly Allah knows they hide and what they manifest. Surely He
loves not the proud."Holy Quran, Surah 16, verses 22&

From Atlanta, the Night of Majesty began on the evening of
September 7th enduring into the next morning and day of the 8th, as we
continued our nocturnal journey of 1,000 months
within a lifetime of
1,000 years. After driving down the red clay road, named the Poole
Road, the earthly red carpet was spread through a tranquil space of
time bordered by a forest of green trees as we traveled a little more
than 3 miles down the road until we reached the little church where
the Honorable Elijah Muhammad was reared as a child. This was the
church which his father had established and pastored beginning in the
latter part of the 19th Century.
When we arrived in our caravan of cars, made up of approximately 40
Believers, we had indeed stepped down onto Holy Ground. So peaceful
and tranquil was the environment, without one building or house in
site, only the red clay dirt road and white painted, renovated church
stood in that place where the current pastor, Reverend Fleming had
pastored for the last 17 years. We were welcomed into the church at
the exact moment when services had begun with a special 17th
Anniversary celebration in honor of Reverend Fleming. It seemed as if
we were in a space time suspended between earth and sky, where in
appearance nothing had ever changed.
I was asked by the Pastor to come forward and address the small
congregation with our delegation of family members from the Poole and
Muhammad unions. I will always remember that day as a sacred moment in
which Almighty God surrounded us with His Love and Grace in a time of
love. It was as if we were on the Elevated Heights in our Journey to
God, where ascending and descending, the Angelic Hosts permitted us to
enter this special and most blessed sanctuary. I will always remember
the sparkling face of a Poole family member, named Katie Smith Poole,
who remembered our first visit in 1995 one week prior to the Million
Man March.
Later in the day another Poole family member, named Charlie Poole,
escorted us to the stretch of forest which marked the Birthplace of
the Honorable Elijah Muhammad located somewhere in the vicinity which
is marked by a color marker. Our time did not permit us to search the
forested area, where, once again, time engaged us in a sense of
knowing that "Time" is to the beholder but a vanishing dream sustained
in the memory of immortality. At any moment we embrace it, it is ours
for eternity!
"And when it is said to them, What is it that
your Lord has revealed? they say, Stories of the ancients! That they
may bear their burdens in full on the day of Resurrection, and also of
the burdens of those whom they lead astray without knowledge. Ah! evil
is what they bear." Holy Quran, Surah 16, verses 24&
