Support for the lifting of sanctions
11/12/1999

This unfair treatment to the people of Cuba has gone on too long. The US now have a duty to restore normal international functions to the people.

Lift the embargo

Why? Because it is the right thing to do if we want ALLAH to be merciful to us then we must be also merciful to one another.

Cuba

The imposition of the unjust and illegal stance that America and Israel, in particular, have taken against Cuba is nothing short of scandalous.

The American military / industrial complex which covertly directs the political hand of the country has been out of hand for too long. Why should Cuba bow to America? Is America God Almighty?

America is not threatened by the military might of Cuba. America is frightened of the free thinking independent stance that Cuba has adopted in terms of trying to obliterate illiteracy, poverty and the greed of the few to the detriment of the many.

America's criminal sanctions should be lifted immediately. It is great to see that the Final Call newspaper under the leadership of the Honorable Minister Farrakhan is not cowered by the tyranny of the American state. Keep up the good work and we in London wish Minister Farrakhan good health.

The Cuban people should get the same treatment that any other refugees get as political asylum...a home, a tax free job and medicine as well as food sent to the the people

Yes To Ending U.S. Unfair Treatment Of Cuba
11/14/1999

It is pass time for the U.S.A. to Get out of the way of the country of
Cuba. The only motivation for the unfair treatment and bullying of it's
leader and people is because the Government wants to control and own
Cuba. It is time for all people of color to stand up and take complete
control of there own destiny in the new Millennium.

Cuban Embargo
11/18/99

Being a student of political science for the past four years, the one thing that I have learned is that politicians start wars and the common people have to fight them. The common folk of Cuba have suffered to long and have been punished wrongly for the maliciousness of a few. How many more Cuban children have to die before the American government opens its eyes. It is time to lift these trade embargoes.

Cuban Embargo
11/18/1999

I believe the embargo sanctions against the island nation of Cuba has always been a criminal act and a foreign policy blunder for the United States.

Cuba since 1959 chose a political system of socialism and in my opinion this was a sovereign act by an independent nation; thus, U.S. politicians such as Jesse Helms and our elected officials have used unjust propaganda to sway an ill informed United States population to accept a criminal act against the innocent people of Cuba.

Prior to the revolution Cuba was controlled by a bunch of thugs and gangsters who had legalized gambling, prostitution and drug dens. Our tremendous power over world affairs and technology could benefit a people who are just 90 miles away from the U.S. border. All people of goodwill should demand that our elected officials know how the American people truly feel about the embargo. Moreover, use the language of the Monroe Doctrine to re alter our unjust position against Cuba and stand as some of the first group American politicians who finally stood on the right side of world history.

End Cuban Embargo
11/22/1999

The people of Cuba chose their leadership when they supported Fidel Castro. If they no longer want his leadership, it is up to them to make the change, not the American government.

Cuba has a right to chart its own political and economic systems. If
Communism is Cuba's choice, so be it. America has no right to tell Cuba what choices it should make. If Communism is as bad as America says it is, why is it daily increasing its relationship with the world's largest Communist nation in the world, China?

Ultimately, America's actions against Cuba are anti-African in that a very large proportion of the Cuban population is of African descent. For that reason alone, American-Africans must oppose the U. S. embargo against Cuba.

Lift the sanctions
11/22/1999

It's the right thing to do for reasons I will give, (1) morally (2)
spiritually (3) economically (4) socially (5)politically the right thing to
do, but we are talking about the worst human rights violator on the planet.

William Muhammad
