Today is the 19th of September and the 16th anniversary of a most
significant event in history.
"On the morning of September 19, 1985 there was an earthquake near Mexico
City. Minister Louis Farrakhan was staying in a small village about 40 miles
from Mexico City. The force of the quake seemed to be the factor that forced
the recall of an experiencea visionhe had just two nights before.
"That morning Minister Farrakhan informed his wife, Sister Khadijah
Farrakhan and Sister Tynnetta Muhammad of the vision. He informed them that,
among other things the Honorable Elijah Muhammad spoke to him. This was the
first time he heard his teachers live voice in ten years and nine
monthssince the last time he saw him on December 1, 1974 at his teachers
home in Chicago, Illinois.
"In his vision the Honorable Elijah Muhammad gave him instructions and
made clear that he was on that huge wheel-like plane flying high in the sky.
Further, Minister Farrakhan said, his teacher told him he (Minister
Farrakhan) had one more thing to do before a future face-to-face meeting
between the two on the wheel.
"A few days later the Minister came to Phoenix and shared his experience
with me. Not too long afterwards he told others. Eventually he announced the
contents of his vision to the government of America and to the world."
This began my 25,783-word testimony of the truth of the Honorable Minister
Louis Farrakhans experience, written back in 1994, titled More Than A
Vision. Its the seventh chapter of a book titled, Where is the Honorable
Elijah Muhammad?
Later in that chapter, I fully quoted Minister Farrakhans press
conference statement on October 24, 1989. He said, in part:
"In 1987, in the New York Times Sunday Magazine and on the front page of
the Atlanta Constitution, the truth of my vision was verified for the
headlines of the Atlanta Constitution read, President Reagan Planned War
Against Libya.
"In the article which followed, the exact words that the Honorable Elijah
Muhammad spoke to me on the Wheel were found; that the President had met with
the Joints Chiefs of Staff and planned a war against Libya in the early part
of September 1985.
"I did not realize, at the time, when the Honorable Elijah Muhammad said
that I had one more thing to do, that one more thing involved having the
actual press conference-that I am holding today..."
When this article appears, Allah willing, Minister Farrakhans press
conference should have been transcribed in The Final Call and otherwise. Here
are some of my observations of the unique statement Minister Farrakhan
presented to the world a few days ago on September the 16th.
Four words and then a thought came to me as I listened to Minister
Farrakhan. These words were: "majestic; magnificent; comprehensive;
balanced." The thought was: "My Brother is speaking the mind of Allahexactly
how Allah sees this complex situation."
To me what he said instructs us about how we ought to see the events of
September 11th, when America was viciously attacked and the innocent were
murdered.
Later, I began to form a more complete conception of what I just witnessed
of Minister Farrakhan. It included certain words beyond the four I mentioned
that to me, summed up aspects of what I heard. I intend to get to them next
article.
I went to the dictionary to see how close my concept of each word came to
their definitions, that I might better grasp what I witnessed of God coming
through my Brother, Minister Farrakhan.
Majestic means, "Having or showing lofty dignity or nobility; stately;
possessing or exhibiting majesty; of august dignity, stateliness, or imposing
grandeur; lofty; noble; grand; majestic in manner or bearing; superior to
mundane matters; having or displaying great dignity or nobility; belonging to
or befitting a supreme ruler."
The primary synonyms for majestic are: "august; splendid; grand; sublime;
magnificent; imperial; regal; stately; lofty; dignified; elevated."
Magnificent means; "splendid in appearance; grand or noble in thought or
deed; sublime; exalted." It further means, "outstanding of its kind;
superlative: magnificent; admirable in action; displaying great power or
opulence; in appearance; exhibiting grandeur or splendor; splendid."
Comprehensive means: "so large in scope or content as to include much;
marked by or showing extensive understanding. Comprehensive; including much;
comprising many things; having a wide scope or a full view; having the power
to comprehend or understand many things; possessing peculiarities that are
characteristic of several diverse groups. This term further means; "including
all or everything; broad in scope; being the most comprehensive."
Its synonyms include: "extensive; wide; large; full; compendious."
Balance, in part, means "a state of equilibrium or parity characterized by
cancellation of all forces by equal opposing forces. It also means, "The
power or means to decide."
Balance further means, "A stable mental or psychological state; emotional
stability. A harmonious or satisfying arrangement or proportion of parts or
elements, as in a design. An influence or force tending to produce
equilibrium. Couterpoise."
There is more in this definition of the word balance, as Minister
Farrakhan indicated in his use of it with the Holy Quran. I intend to
continue these definitions and my thoughts on Minister Farrakhans press
conference, in upcoming articles.
Especially now, in the light of these times, lets also continue the
series, which includes observations on that most dangerous of all spiritual
diseases: hypocrisy.
Generally, those of us who only partially accept Gods wisdom, through
Minister Farrakhan, concerning self-improvement, or the God within, are
turning down the means by which we can overcome the effects of those
detrimental things which happened to us, in our childhood, which stunted and
warped our minds, and made us the people the scriptures call "the dead."
As we "grew up" we later interacted with others who were either like, or
only resembled, in some or many respects, those who harmed us in our earlier
years. We usually handled these situations according to the damaged learning
of our childhood.
Later, we entered Islam. Then, for the first time, we were brought face to
face, with the greatest of all relationshipsthe Divine Supreme Being
Himself, and His Supreme wisdomthe understanding of which should produce the
most profound change, for the better, in our relation to everyone and
everythingand to ourselves.
So now, were in a brand new paradigm. Now were learning how to relate to
people, handle situations and solve problems, etc. with the "new" wisdom
were receivingespecially now with the wisdom Minister Farrakhan is
teaching.
However, far too often, we handle people, problems, etc., from our damaged
childhood learning (impediments), weve not overcome. If we continue to
"handle" people, etc., in this new paradigm, as we did when we were "dead,"
were doomed to a worse hell. If we dont speed up in this new learning
process, we will sort ourselves out from among the "foremost." (See Holy
Quran Surah 56, section 4; Surah 35 section 4, etc.)
Whats a paradigm? What are the keys to mastering the new wisdom? Can we
make up for lost time? Yes! How? What of Minister Farrakhans study guides at
this time?
More next issue, Allah willing.
