Healing

There
is more healing power in the Study Guides of the Honorable Minister
Louis Farrakhan than in all of the manuals, study guides, speeches,
courses, and what not, of all this worlds mental healersincluding
all of this worlds psychotherapistsput together.
It is the contention of most people, in the field
of mental health, of this world, that "defense mechanisms are
used by all human beings and may be necessary for survival in some
situations." My general response: Not so! Most? Yes! All? No!
In one manual I read this: "Weve all used
defenses to distance ourselves from distressing feelings and maintain
a sense of emotional stability. Our defense patterns began in
childhood when they prevented us from becoming overwhelmed with
anxiety. However, as an adult we outgrow their usefulness. If we
continue to use outgrown defenses, we are more likely to create rigid
constrained relationships and risk never truly encountering another
human being."
The thinking which under-girds this worlds life
and relationships, does not generate that love, out of which comes
empathy. Yes, we do see this trait here and there. However, this is
not a fundamental trait of the life of the people of this world. The
scriptures back this statement up.
This manual continues: "Part of therapy is
identifying our defenses. If we can discover which defenses we use, we
can replace outgrown ones with more healthy ones. Defenses are not
conscious excuses to avoid problems. Actually, we are usually unaware
we are using them. Counseling can be helpful in uncovering our most
used defenses, and help us learn new ways of defending and coping in
life."
This is the end of this world. Jesus Christ is due
any day, so the theologians of Christianity say. Then what grade would
Jesus Christ give this worlds counselors? Look at the condition of
the people.
But I read the following excerpts, in part of the
introduction of an infinitely better manual, written by Minister
Farrakhan:
"As-Salaam-Alaikum:
"Dear Helper in the Cause of Allah: This
letter is to introduce you to the new study guide material. These
study and training units are based upon a speech, which I delivered
September 21, 1986 in Phoenix, Arizona. This speech, in my judgment,
formally ushers in that which is the launching pad of a worldwide
movement.
"Each study session is designed on the
guidance of Allah to produce: self-examination; self-analysis;
self-correction; and, to quicken in each of us, the self-accusing
spirit. For, it is only when we are awakened morally that we have to
face the self-accusing spirit which leads to our resurrection."
Then Minister Farrakhan defines, in a very brief,
but clear way, exactly what he means here by "our
resurrection."
Minister Farrakhan wrote: "Resurrection is
that process that begins with the self-accusing spirit and does not
end until we become one in perfect harmony or peace with Allah and His
Creation."
Minister Farrakhan then quoted from the Holy Quran,
which was the key in the hands of a man guided by Allah, to effect the
process of resurrection in the desert Arabs around 1,400 years ago.
"In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the
Merciful.
1. Nay, I swear by the day of resurrection!
2. Nay, I swear by the self-accusing spirit! 2606
(footnote)
3. Does man think that We shall not gather his
bones?
4. Yea, We are Powerful to make complete his whole
make..."
(Holy Quran 75:1-4 Muhammad Ali Translation)
After making an insightful comment on this verse
from the Holy Quran Minister Farrakhan continued:
"If you will notice, this inner voice does the
work of a Messenger of Allah (God). Would you knowingly kill one of
Allahs (Gods) prophets or messengers? What would be the
punishment if you did?
"Every time we act to still the voice of
correction, coming from within ourselves, we are in fact murdering the
Messenger of Allah (God). The result is spiritual blindness, leading
to spiritual death, leading ultimately to an untimely physical death.
"The more we feed on truth and right guidance
from Allah (God) the stronger the voice becomes. That inner voice is
like a seed, which can ultimately grow into its perfected state, to be
the Mind of God Himself in you."
Then Minister Farrakhan quoted from one of the
letters of Paul, which reads: "Let this mind be in you, which was
also in Christ Jesus..." (Philippians 2:5)
Have we ever thought as deep as we could into these
words and into just why Minister Farrakhan put these words in this
letter?
Minister Farrakhan continued: "The Honorable
Elijah Muhammad said to me that if he could choose any symbol to
represent His Work, it would be the trumpet; for the trumpet is the
symbol of resurrection. It is a man, a voice and a truth that is
capable of quickening to life the inner voice, the spirit, the essence
of Allah (God) in man."
There is no doubt about it that Allah has made
Minister Farrakhan a man, with a voice who has the "truth that is
capable of quickening to life the inner voice, the spirit, the essence
of Allah (God) in man."
How can wein good faithnot attend meetings,
sessions, wherein such wisdom is being studied and discussed?
Minister Farrakhan continued: "This quickening
to life and this process of heeding truth and right guidance is the
process which brings about a transformation in the Believer. As you
know, mere belief counts for nothing except that it is carried
into practice. This phase of our development is designed, by
the help of Allah, to bring about a transformation or complete change
in our lives. This is done by stimulating self-analysis and
self-correction in us. Our self-improvement actually brings into
fruition the awesome power of Allah (God) to "make complete his
(our) whole make." Holy (Quran 75:4)
"No Believer is exempt from this study. Those
whose desire is to be qualified as laborers, must be foremost in study
and self-analysis in this transformation of our lives.
"Each student, after studying the principle
under analysis, must then analyze self and critique self. The study
sessions, while leading the student to self-examination, first;
self-analysis, second; self-correction, third; must simultaneously be
therapeutic. Therefore, these sessions must be two-fold, consisting of
both theory and practice. The practice will refine the theory."
If we will get totally immersed in the study
Minister Farrakhan was divinely guided to provide for us we will be
better able to get rid of the following "defense mechanisms"
forever. Again, Minister Farrakhans study guides are effective
tools that will enable us to scrape out of us the deep-set particles
of deceptive [and destructive] intelligence, which sits in our hearts
that makes us spiritually and mentally unhealthy and which impedes our
rise to our divine destiny.
Here, from the manual written by the thinkers on
mental health of this dying world is a partial list of "defense
mechanisms" or aspects of defective and deceptive aspects of the
intelligence on which this evil world was built.
"Rationalization: providing
"explanations" to excuse inconsistent or irrational
behavior, and not being aware that this is happening.
"Minimizing: protecting yourself from worry or
anxiety by viewing significant events or problem behaviors as being
less important (smaller) than they actually are.
"Externalization: believing outside forces or
circumstances are the cause of your self-destructive behaviors. This
defense mechanism allows you to avoid accepting responsibility for
behavior.
"Intellectualization: using lengthy argument
or small detail (deflecting behavior) to distract from the task at
hand.
"Projection: attributing your own undesirable
traits or thoughts onto another person.
"Displacement: redirecting emotions such as
anger from the source of frustration, and discharging them onto other
persons, objects, or ideas.
"Undoing: engaging in behavior designed to
symbolically make amends for or negate previously unacceptable
thoughts, feelings, or actions. This is not to be confused with actual
and direct amends made to persons we may have harmed.
"Regression: returning to a less mature level
of behavior.
"Fantasy: escaping from an unpleasant or
undesirable situation through daydreaming, "tuning out", or
not paying attention.
"Acting-out: acting without reflection or
apparent regard for negative consequences.
"Passive Aggression: indirectly and
unassertively expressing aggression toward others."
Remember, Minister Farrakhans study guides will
help us wipe these defective ways of thinking from our real selves
forever.
More next issue, Allah willing. |
