The
Honorable Elijah Muhammad once told me that he was not an envious
person. He said he was blessed to be that way from a child on up. He
said that when he was little he rejoiced over what others received when
gifts were given out at Christmas time.
The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan has that same kind of
disposition.
Min. Farrakhan has a part of his teachers assignment, which
essentially, is to uplift fallen humanity. Its to resurrect the
spiritual or mentally dead. Its to help others to reach their fullest
development or potential.
Every one of us who are with Min. Farrakhan are here at this time in
history to become the very best human being we can be, by means of what
Allah has revealed, as well as to help Min. Farrakhan by properly
sharing in his assignment, or mission, or work. If we are to be
effective helpers of Min. Farrakhan we must be free of
jealousy and envy.
As did his teacher before him, Min. Farrakhan teaches that which
will thoroughly uproot and destroy these heart-corroding emotions. In that
which theyve taught are those keys that can develop each human beings
potential to the fullest.
Now, there is an important qualifier that could be inserted here, but
I dont want to go off from my primary point. However, I intend to
take it up next article, Allah willing.
Min. Farrakhan, nor his teacher, could not have had the success they
have had if they were jealous and envious.
Well, some ask, why didnt the Honorable Elijah Muhammads
efforts remove these evils? This question shows shallow thinking. In
some other instances this kind of question, or point, reveals hypocrisy.
In another article Id like to give my views on this and back it up.
There is a connection between the emotion and mind-set that produces
that kind of question and the roots of jealousy and envy. Its false
pride.
Meanwhile, the short answer is that the Honorable Elijah Muhammad is
completing the first phase of his work through Min.
Farrakhan. He is doing this while he is also into the second phase of
his work, into which he is bringing Min. Farrakhan.
No one can build a decent government and world with people who are
filled with jealousy and envy. These evils make people do the most evil
things to self and to others. These evil emotions are murderous. All
forms of chaos results from these evils.
The emotions of jealousy (of the negative type) and envy stunts
the development of the good of what we are. Jealousy and envy produces
blockage in the resurrection process. It hinders our natural
development.
That which removes these blockages to our natural
growth, is that which Min. Farrakhan teaches and practices
from the storehouse of his teachers wisdom. Simply put that
which will eradicate, or wipe out jealousy and envy, is the knowledge of
self. This knowledge contains divine light, life and power. If accepted,
with love, it automatically produces the next stage of love for self.
The intensity of this next level (or plane) of love inevitably produces
unity with self and the power of self to do for self and others. It even
enables us to co-exist with enemies in a most intelligent manner.
Such simple words, as these seem to be, are actually the most
profound mathematical formulas of the most valuable and sophisticated
kind. Without them there is no self-development. Without them there is
no ability to properly relate to God, self and others.
Look well into Min. Farrakhans study guides. To ignore them means
we just dont understand Min. Farrakhan as we think we do. We can
better understand him and his assignment if we would study them and
engage in discussions based on them.
Jealousy and envy are manifestations of the worst form of
narrow-mindedness and self-centeredness. The emotions, or mental
attitudes, and the resulting states of mind they produce, are opposite
to the nature of God in us. They are opposite to the qualities essential
to the growth of our divinity. The nature of the Creator is our nature
too. He created us in His own nature. Jealousy and envy are not part of
His nature.
Allah did not create us to be jealous nor envious. I am well aware
that the Bible states that God is a jealous God. Yes and Ive already
indicated above that there is another kind of jealousy that is positive,
within limits. One place in the Bible even refers to a "Godly
jealousy." To get into this here is too much of a digression. So Ill
hope to also take this up next issue, Allah willing.
Besides, there is not much "Godly jealousy" in wicked
America, and not much among the dead, even though we are rising from our
graves of ignorance.
You cannot build any real and lasting peaceful, harmonious, divinely
creative and constructive relationships, not to think of a righteous
government and world, with false pride and its wicked productsjealousy;
envy; covetousness; unjust and unreasonable resentment; vanity;
blasphemy; slander; self-righteousness and self-delusion.
Essentially, jealously requires at least three people for it to
occur. Envy requires only two. Both involve improper comparisons.
There are several questions we could and ought to ask and seek the
answers too, if we are to understand jealousy and envy and work with
Min. Farrakhan to get rid of them. Among them are, what are the roots of
jealousy and envy? What are the forms of their manifestations? What are
the consequences of acts that are motivated, in whole or in part, by
jealousy and envy?
Earlier, I summed up what Min. Farrakhan, and his teacher before him,
taught. It is the only formula or medicine that will cure us of our
spiritual ills, including jealousy and envy. Here Im also using the
word "formula," to express what he teaches, as it is the
comprehensive rule or combination of principles, as well as the
comprehensive method, or procedure, that will cure us, and restore to us
our original powers and original place in Allahs creation.
So now, what is it in this formula, summed up above, which can (has
the power) get up under jealousy and envy and uproot them forever? What
is its power to rid these evils from the human heart permanently? Does
this "formula" automatically remove such evils as jealousy and
envy if we truly accept it? If so, how and why? If not, why not? Is
there another "formula" that equals the one taught by Min.
Farrakhan, as described above? What would that be? If there is not
another equal to what he teachesand there isntthen other than
what he offers is inferior and, therefore, worthless.
Again, the study guides Allah ordered through Min. Farrakhan, will
rid us of jealousy and envy if we will but use them as he instructed. If
we refuse, are we sayingconsciously or subconsciouslythat we want
Satans spirit to continue in us; to whatever degree that is the case?
Are we also saying that we dont believe that Allah ordered these
study guides at all, nor through Min. Farrakhan? And any degree of that
evil spirit within us is, as Min. Akbar would say, "That is totally
out of order!"
In the beginning of the creation of life and the universe, reading
was not required. It did not exist at that time. Weve been taught
that it took Him (God) about six trillion years to produce a writer from
Himself. Now, we are in the time of the fulfillment of the prophecies
about Gods recreation of the heavens and the earth. In these initial
years of the recreation of all things, God has made reading a
requirement.
Hence, Min. Farrakhans stress on study, in which reading is an
essential.
More next issue, Allah willing.
