"Their messengers said to them: We are nothing but
mortals like yourselves, but Allah bestows (His) favours on whom He
pleases of His servants. And it is not for us to bring you an
authority, except by Allahs permission. And on Allah let the
believers rely." Holy Quran, Surah 14, verse 11
As we continue with this series inspired from the
experience of the Woman with the Five Dollar Bill, I wish to thank the
Believers and the Officials of Mosque No. 26 in Oakland, California
for their support and participation in many stimulating outreach
community programs in which we shared in common educational and
cultural and entertaining activities in diverse areas of
Self-Improvement: The Basis for Community Development. Particularly
helpful were Brother Minister Keith Muhammad and his wife, Sister
Salamah, who along with the Sisterhood, attended to all of my needs in
a most courteous manner.
Within this context, may I take this opportunity to
acknowledge with special gratitude a brother and sister, who along
with their entire family hosted me during my stay in the Oakland Bay
Area. Brother Earl Muhammad and his wife, Sister Leticia Muhammad,
have rendered unusual support to my cultural and educational projects
and voluntarily have assisted me throughout the past several years in
organizing my musical tapes into new C.D. Recordings of which are now
being made available to the public. They have also produced their own
Righteous Rap Recording featuring Muslim Rappers organized from the
West Coast, which was first released at The Million Family March in
October of last year.
It was in front of their home, at the time of my
arrival in the middle of May, that I experienced meeting the Woman
with the Five Dollar Bill. The normal donation for The Final Call
Newspaper is One Dollar. It is on the One Dollar Bill that displays
The Great Seal of the United States Government in the form of a
truncated pyramid with 13 course stones. Above this pyramid appears
the All-Eye-Seeing in an open space. What does all of this symbolize
and why does it appear on the paper currency we call money? Why do we
see the image of the first elected President of the United States,
George Washington on the reverse side of the Dollar Bill?
Why do we have opposite to the Great Seal the image
of an Eagle with 13 stars, impressed with a center pattern of a six
pointed star above the Eagles head parallel to the All-Eye-Seeing?
Why does there appear an outer ring or circle above the stars
featuring 19 clouds? First of all to receive money and to make the
proper use of money, one must understand and study the symbolism and
meaning of what is printed on the money that we currently use for the
exchange of goods and commodities. Much has been written about the
meaning of these symbols, but writing from the perspective of The
Supreme Wisdom Teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, I would
like to make the following observations.
It is in the writings of Master Fard Muhammad and
his teachings to the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and to others that laid
the Foundation of the Nation of Islam in America and established an
approach and a dialogue that leads to diplomatic overtures to the
United States Government and its people for which it stands. Thus the
One Dollar Bill and the Five Dollar Bill exhibit two of this
Governments most significant Presidents, George Washington and
Abraham Lincoln. On each of these monetary units appears the words, In
God We Trust. On each of these monetary bills appears another symbol
displaying the balancing of the scales of Justice. Behind the Money
and its use is factored in its Spiritual Meaning and its application
to the works of Divine Truth and Justice. These factors have been
denied to the majority of the American Peoples Indigenous Population,
particularly when it comes to the Black ex-slave population of
America, kidnapped from Africa more than four centuries ago.
In the Writings of the Wise Master who visited
America in the beginning of the last century, W. Fard Muhammad, he
sets forth for us to study several Mathematical Problems that contain
the keys to our Liberation, Freedom, Justice and Equality based upon
the upholding and execution (Practice) of certain Spiritual
Principles, which if not observed will not bring us success or the
good things in life of material and moral benefits such as luxury,
money, good homes and friendship in all walk of life. Therefore, in
the next series of articles, I have prepared a series of diagrams with
their explanations which may help us to better come to grips with
ourselves and Divine Guidance as exemplified in the Most Honorable
Elijah Muhammad and his greatest Helper, the Honorable Minister Louis
Farrakhan, our Last Hope upon entering into the change-over of worlds
and the life of the Hereafter.
"And why should we not rely on Allah? And He has
indeed guided us in our ways. And we would certainly bear with
patience your persecution of us. And on Allah the reliant rely."
Holy Quran, Surah 14, verse 12
