Victory
of Muhammad Assured In spite of Misfortunes in Battle of Uhud

"O
you who believe, if you obey those who disbelieve, they will make you
turn back upon your heels, so you will turn back losers. Nay Allah is
your Patron, and He is the Best of helpers."Holy Quran Surah
3, verses 148-149
Within a year prior to
the departure of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad in 1975, he informed me
about a plot that was being hatched in Chicago to take his life as
well as certain ones close around him. Allah, the Beneficent, the
Merciful, revealed to him the names of the plotters. Reviewing certain
events that took place in the life of the Holy Prophet more than 1,400
years ago, we can draw striking parallels between those events in
Muhammads History and its present day fulfillment in the life of
the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and that of his Great Helper, the
Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan.
The Muslims were a new and inexperienced young
community coming to birth in Arabia where their presence was not liked
by the Ruling Authorities of the Quraish Leaders or by the many
idolatrous tribes and religious community Leaders among the Jews and
Christians who were dispersed throughout the Arabian Peninsula. Thus,
internecine warring and vying for power, recognition and prestige were
traits manifested among the populous which led to their expressions of
obscenities, slander, lies, bickering, fault-finding, conspiracies,
and mud-slinging tactics and maneuvers practiced by the enemies, who
worked their way up into the House of Islam while pretending to be
Believers but were agents and provocateurs of the devil.
This same condition exists and is present in the
House of Islam today. Such treacherous ones are not satisfied to
accept the process of redemption and reconciliation of differences,
but prefer to reach out and contaminate others with their own
poisonous views, feigning that they are the true Believers, yet
judging others with false claims manifesting themselves as being true
hypocrites. They are those who slander the Prophet, the Apostle and
Servant of Allah (God) and others who are of his household, as it is
written of them. By so doing, they are heaping upon themselves,
condemnation and blame.
They are not content with their own misery and
dissatisfaction but desire to implicate others in their madness. Now
Allah is Revealing the names of the hypocrites for their cowardly
actions pretending to be Believers, but yet going to war with
themselves and others oblivious of the consequences.
During
the Battle of Uhud, it was rumored that the Prophet had been killed,
while a group, who were assigned to their positions on a certain
hillock called Uhud, vacated their posts before the victory was won
with the exception of 9 out of fifty, leaving an open wide space
through which the enemy swept down on their rear.
This situation and other extenuating circumstances
also left the prophet in "The most awkward hour in the Messengers
life." These exact words are published in a Biography of the
Prophet entitled: Ar-RaheeqAlMakhtum (The Sealed Nectar).
"The Messenger of Allah was there among a
small group of fightersnine in number at the rear of the army
watching the engagement and braving the Muslim fighters; Khalid and
his men took him by utter surprise, and obliged him to follow either
of the two options:
a.To flee for his life and abandon his army to its
doomed end, or b.To take action at the risk of his life, rally the
ranks of the Muslims again and work their way through the hills of
Uhud towards the encompassed army."
Thus he called out to them at the risk of his life,
as it is written in the Holy Quran in the following words:
"When you went away far, and paid no heed to
anyone, and the Messenger was calling you in your rear. So he gave you
(another) grief for (your) first grief that you might not grieve at
what escaped you, nor (at) what befell you. And Allah is Aware of what
you do."Holy Quran, Surah 3, verse 152
O foolish ones among our people, the Real open
Enemy is laughing at you in your ignorant attack on your only
Benefactor. When you desert your posts of obedience to the Divine
Guidance coming from the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan, the open
enemy is advancing on your heels and is cutting you off from the
Promised Day of Allah bringing you to a naught.
Even in the face of these difficulties, facing
death, the Honorable Minister Farrakhan pleads for his peoples
forgiveness for their sins as did Jesus beg forgiveness of His Lord
for their ignorance in these words: "Forgive them Father for they
know not what they do." Muhammad said similarly: "O Allah
forgive my people, for they have no knowledge."
But Almighty God Reveals in the Holy Quran,
"We will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve
because they set up with Allah that for which He has sent down no
authority, and their abode is the Fire. And evil is the abode of the
wrongdoers."Holy Quran Surah 3, verse 150 |
