"Say: O People of the Book, why do you
disbelieve in the messages of Allah? And Allah is a witness of what you
do."
Holy Quran, Surah 3 verse 97
In continuing our
subject, the Family of AmranA Celebration of Family, we have become
acutely aware that the genealogy of the Founder of the Nation of Islam
in America, should be studied in the light of the three great
Monotheistic Religions, Christianity, Judaism, and Islam with its Divine
Roots in Scriptural Revelation from Almighty God, Allah. The tracing of
this genealogy of Master W. Fard Muhammad is a matter of Theology and
the prophetic picture which connects these three religious bodies to
Father Abraham.
With Abraham comes the establishment of the Holy
Places in Arabia at the Holy City of Mecca, and in Palestine at the
Temple Mount at Jerusalems Dome of the Rock and Al-Aqsah Mosque. It
is not a coincidence that the Mufti of Jerusalem presented the Qutbah
lecture at the gathering of the Faithful to the Call for Friday prayers
at the Jumuah service at our recent Saviours Day Convention. This
Historical Event also drew some of the most distinguished scholars and
scientists of the Islamic world. As a result of this World Islamic
Leadership Conference, an invitation was extended to the Honorable
Minister Louis Farrakhan and the members of the Nation of Islam to visit
Jerusalem in the very near future.
We are aware that Pope John Paul II has concluded his
special pilgrimage Journey to the Holy Land, which included an earlier
State Visit to Egypt and audience with President Hosni Mubarak. He then
visited the Sinai Peninsula, with the hopes to reconcile differences
with the Coptic Church of Egypt with a bit of a standoff on their part
regarding joint prayers. Pope John Paul IIs attempt to break down
barriers between the worlds three great religions, Christianity,
Judaism and Islam, characterizes his current political and spiritually
motivated moves. He began his Special Pilgrimage in the Middle East with
a visit to Jordan, which included a State Visit with the newly appointed
King of Jordan and son of the late King Hussein of the Hashemite
Kingdom. He visited another site where Moses journeyed in the
wilderness in the company of the Children of Israel to Mount Nebo. There
he gazed out over the Jordan to view the Promised Land.
In the stations of his journey, he visited with
President Yassir Arafat on the West Bank and expressed his desire to see
an independent Palestinian State. Traveling to Jerusalem, the Sacred
City to Muslims, Christians and Jews, he met with the Political and
Religious Leaders and Rabbis with the exception of being refused an
audience to meet with the Mfuti of Jerusalem.
He went on to visit Bethlehem, the scene of the
Nativity as well as including Nazareth. Step by step, he attempted to
walk in the footsteps of Moses, Jesus and Muhammad, seeking to reconcile
long ages of conflict among the three religious parties.
We will note that in the backdrop of these symbolic
and political gestures, on his part, that there was no religious
dialogue extended to include the rejected people of the Western
Hemisphere in the healing of wounds between the Black Man, the Indian,
and those of Hispanic origin in the Americas who have been victimized by
a scourge of every kind of evil atrocities for well over 400 years.
Where is our "Apologia" either in major or minor tones? This
action would have made his Special Pilgrimage universal in nature and
far more effective for the good of common humanity.
In 1998 when Min. Farrakhan, with his 24 member
delegation, attempted to visit Jerusalem, he was denied optimum security
measures from the Israeli Government, even though he received an
Official invitation from Prominent Islamic leaders of Al-Aqsah Mosque
and Al-Haram, which includes the famous Dome of the Rock Mosque. He held
a press conference in the nearby City of Ramallah where he was lodged
during this critical period.
The controversy of the Jews over the Advent of the
Messiah in all three Divine Scriptures of the Bible (Torah and Gospel),
and in the Holy Quran, is very clearly defined and is left in the end
of the Final Judgment of Almighty God, Allah. As the Family of Amran is
numbered as the third Surah of the Holy Quran, we of all religious
communities are on trial and rehearsing each in our own way, the End
Time.
"Say: O People of the Book, why do you
hinder those who believe from the way of Allah, seeking (to make) it
crooked, while you are witnesses? And Allah is not heedless of what you
do." Holy Quran, Surah 3
verse 98
To be continued.
