As-Salaam Alaikum.

Dear Muslims,

On the last weekend of February, in the year 2000, we are proposing that an Islamic Family Reunion take place during the Nation of Islam�s annual convention. There are many in the United States who have heard the Teachings of Islam that are taught by the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and have benefited much from His Teachings, however, due to some circumstance are not connected to any Mosque or Masjid, but, still hold fast to the principles of Islam. There are many who once followed the Honorable Elijah Muhammad who recognize Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) as the last of the Prophets and Messengers of Allah and are doing their best to follow the Teachings of the Qur�an as exemplified by the Sunnah or Way of Prophet Muhammad.

For the last 22 years I have attempted to rebuild the work of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad because I did not want to see this Noble Man and His Noble Name written out of history because of a misunderstanding of what He taught and why He taught what was taught to Him by the Great Mahdi, Master W. Fard Muhammad. Over 40 Universities of Islam were established under the Leadership of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. These institutions have produced students that are making their mark in every field of human endeavor, and, as Muslims many of us have not seen each other for 20 or 30 years.

Therefore, we are calling for an Islamic Family Reunion of all of those who love Islam, whether from the point of view of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, Imam Warith Deen Mohamed, or any of the many schools of thought of the great Islamic Scholars. This coming together will not be for any purpose other than to be inspired by each other; to have the spirit of Islam revived in our hearts that we may, if we choose, recommit our lives to the great cause of the establishment of Islam (Peace) in its Pristine Purity in the United States of America and in the Western Hemisphere.

During this weekend, from February 24-27th the World Islamic People�s Leadership will have its second Islamic Conference in the United States. Scholars from 22 nations covering the entire Muslim World have been invited and have consented to be our guests at this Islamic Conference. Scholars and Imams from the United States of America are also being invited. There will be workshops on various subjects that will be addressed by these Islamic Scholars.

The heart of our discussion will be on Islamic Family Life. The theme of the conference is, "Living up to our Responsibility as Muslims in Establishing Islam in the New Millennium."

We are also proposing to have a Jewish, Christian, and Muslim dialogue. We will list the social ills that confront America and the modern world, then, each member of the family of Abraham will address these social ills from their scripture (Torah, Gospel, and Qur�an).

Our hope is that we will realize from these discussions of the Torah, Injil, and Qu�ran that the Revealed Words of Allah (God) 4000, 2000, and 1400 years ago can solve all the social problems that we face today. These discussions will also prove that all of these answers come from One Great Source. Hopefully, these discussions will lead to a unified effort of the children of Abraham to become a serious force for change in the World in the New Century and Millennium.

Brother Muammar Gadhafi, spiritual leader and revolutionary guide for the Libyan Arab Jamahirryah recently hosted 43 African Heads of State in Sirte, Libya. The focus of this conference was Kwame Nkrumah�s vision of a United States of Africa. We have invited Brother Gadhafi to discuss his proposal and its acceptance by the African Heads of State and how the sons and daughters of Africa in the Diaspora may be of service to Africa in making her a great source of strength, not only for African people, but, for the world�s people in the next century. This will be a live satellite broadcast from Libya on Saturday, February 26th.

On Sunday, February 27th, Allah (God) willing, I will give my address. My address, Insha� Allah, will be broadcast by satellite to the entire world.

I am looking forward to seeing Muslims from all over the world. I am excited about the possibility of the participation of Imam Warith Deen Mohamed. I am also excited about the possibility of the visit of the Imam of Al-Haram, the great Kabah in Mecca, the Grand Sheik of Al-Azhar, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, the Grand Sheik of Pakistan, the Grand Sheik of Kuwait, and the Grand Sheik of Senegal. All will participate, Insha� Allah, in the Jumah Prayer service on Friday, the 25th of February. All Muslims, whatever their nationality, racial, or ethnic identity are welcome to participate in this historic gathering. Please watch for the list of workshops and scholars who will be presenting their points of view based on the Qur�an, and the Hadith.

All of the public is invited to attend any of the events of our convention.

I am looking forward to such a potentially great gathering and conference. I pray that Allah will bless us to make the necessary steps toward the unity of the entire Islamic Family.
