Atonement
and true citizenship
To atone and attain perfect union with Allah (God)
is to know the self and the source of the self, as well as to think
correctly in relationship to the source and the self. It is also to
will oneself to be man.
The will to be man leads one to be a citizen. A
citizen is a man who exists in conjunction to other men for the
purpose which Allah (God) created all men. This is the will to
self-governance and social governance.
Therefore, atonement carried out to its logical
conclusion creates man the citizen.
Man the citizen is a state of being that calls for
a definite action: the doing of something. Man the citizen is the
activity of Gods commandment to be; therefore, he does something.
What is this something? Man the citizen must be
responsible. In order to be responsible, man the citizen must be
husband and married. Man the male citizen must be in domestic
conjunction with the female citizen. In order for a female citizen to
be responsible, she must be wife and married.
It is male man-citizen-husband-married in
conjunction with female woman-citizen-wife-married that gives birth to
the institutions of marriage and government.
Marriage is the science of facilitating all private
institutional matters.
Government is the science of facilitating all
public institutional matters.
When male man-citizen-husband-married maintains
integrity with female-citizen-wife-married, they give birth to
marriage and government.
Marriage and government subsequently give birth to
industry and business.
It is business that gives rise to the need for
scientific education.
The call for the atonement of the family on October
16, 2000, is the call for authentic marriage.
An authentic marriage is a marriage that
facilitates all private institutional matters, while serving as the
motor to the government and scientifically educating children.
We were called to atone as individuals on October
16, 1995. We are now being called to atone as families on October 16,
2000.
Without the individual atonement and the family
atonement, no improvement, development, or expansion of the Black
community can occur.
The completion of self-atonement gives to one a
psychological and theological language. The completion of the family
atonement will give a sociological and constitutional language.
Without a theological language, definition cannot
be formulated. Without a psychological language, peaceful, harmonious
relationships are not possible.
And, of course, without a sociological and
constitutional language, social errors cannot be corrected and social
policies cannot be established that fulfill needs and bring about
justice.
It is my prayer that those of us who hear the
Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhans call will not be foolish as
were the people in Noahs day. The people heard the call and kept
doing all the things they had previously done, which ultimately led to
their total destruction.
However, in Jonahs day, the people heard the
call, gave heed to the call, and averted disaster.
The call was loud and clear five years ago,
"Come brothers, let us go before our God (Allah) and atone for
our sins, and let us go out into our communities and nation and serve
Allah (God) and the people."
Today the call is even louder and clearer,
"Come families, let us go before our God (Allah) and atone for
our sins. Then let us go out and build character, institutions,
community, industries, businesses and a new nation based on truth and
our new relationship with Allah (God)." |
