‘Farrakhan, have you ever been to prison?’ No. I’m not afraid of their prisons because better than I have been to prison. Jesus was arrested, so who am I, that I should not follow in the Master’s footsteps if it pleases Allah (God)? He could have used His great power to avoid prison.

As Habbakuk, the Prophet said, “He had horns coming out of His hand, but there was the hiding of His power,” because He was demonstrating for His begotten son the price he would have to pay to free us. No one stands up to free us and our enemy doesn’t plan to put that one in prison. My lawyer is here that has been with me when none of you were present. I’m speaking now of Attorney Lou Meyers. Atty. Lou Meyers will tell you the United States government has been after me for the 30 years that I’ve been representing the Honorable Elijah Muhammad in His absence. The U.S. government in 1982 tried to attach me to a murder in Houston, Texas and they are still trying. They never stop. Do not believe that because you want to help the Messiah, the begotten son, to establish God’s truth and His Kingdom on earth that things are going to be easy for us. It is written in the Holy Qur’an, “I will try you with something of fear, hunger, loss of property, loss of life and diminution of fruit, but, give good news to those who are patient and steadfast under trial, who when a misfortune befalls them say, ‘Surely, we are Allah’s and to Him, is our return.’”

What is a world? Worlds are composed of nations, systems, the division or generations of the inhabitants of the earth distinguished by living together at the same place or at the same time; the earthly state of human beings or human existence. In order for Satan to build his world, he has to get control of human beings and the means by which they exist. A world is complete within itself, in that, it comes into existence to answer the needs, the wants or the desires of the one who brings in the world. Since Satan is the author of this world, then this world is designed to fulfill Satan’s desire for our existence or subsistence on the earth. In order to do that, Satan creates nations. Satan authors religions or causes religion to deviate from its original purpose.

Satan must author education and its systems so that education will form us and shape us into servants of the world that Satan rules. Satan must control political systems whether it’s Communism, Socialism, Capitalism, Democracy or Dictatorships.

Satan must set up judicial systems that he controls. No matter how much law we know, we are a part of his systems and we are trying to use his law and his system to get justice. When he doesn’t want us to receive justice, he draws the law up tight. If he decides you are to get some measure of justice, he loosens the law. If we become too strong an advocate for our people, he makes us a judge, knowing that the law by which we judge is his law, not Allah’s (God’s) law.

Since we are somewhat lazy and do not try to master language, then we will allow the law to hang us and our clients because law is language fashioned to create a rule or a guiding principle. If we can understand the various shades of meaning of words, the prosecutor may use one meaning and the defense can use another shade of meaning; but if we are lazy in mastering language, we can be tricked all day long because we do not understand words and never read the fine print.

Satan must take over religion. Has he? He has to find a way to make sure that education makes us the servant of his aims. I understand that we need education, but we need the right kind of education. We’ve got degrees and we are proud of them, as we should be, but our degrees are not to help us fit into the world of Allah (God). Our degrees are to help us fit into his world, which is this world. We use the education that he gives us to see our way to get a job and by so doing, he puts a hook in us.

Satan gives us an offer we can’t refuse; $100,000 a year with some perks and health insurance. Satan says he’s mine now. He’s not going to upset the apple cart if he knows I’m going to fire him. He’ll lose his high-paying job so Satan puts us in a place where we are afraid to even stand up for our own rights if it’s going to cause us to lose our job. The man in the street is in a better position because he doesn’t care. He’s out there doing wrong, which is another trap to get us into Satan’s prison system.

When we come out of prison, there are 55 different jobs that you can not get. Even though we have paid our debt to society, society keeps making us pay. So, we rob again or commit some crime and we are back in prison. However, there is a way out. Satan has control of politics. I know Barack Obama looks good. He’s a nice young man. Satan does not care anything about how nice we are. As long as we are going to be nice for him, otherwise, he’ll move to destroy us. At the time of this writing the leaches have jumped on Barack Obama.

I gave a beautiful lecture Saviours’ Day, so the enemy said: ‘He sounds too good. Let’s see if we can get Farrakhan to admit that he has changed.’ The interviewer, Martin Bashir said, “In the ’60s, you wrote a song, “A White Man’s Heaven is a Black Man’s Hell.” He asked, “Do you still say that?” I said, “I sure do.”

He asked, “Are you saying, Mr. Farrakhan, that White people have Black people in hell?” I said, “It’s been that way.” I said, “You told me your parents are from Pakistan, but before there was Pakistan, you were living in India and India was the jewel of the British Empire.

“When the British were ruling India were the Indians in hell while the British were in heaven?!” He got off that subject and later asked, “Minister, do you have anything that you regret?” I said, “No, I have no regrets.” “But don’t you regret calling Judaism a dirty religion?” I said, “I never said that. The only thing I can regret is the manner in which I spoke the truth, but you met me in a time of conflict.” I said, “People don’t go into war or conflict gentle and kind. The media and the world were at war with me and I’m a warrior, so I went to war with the media and those whom the media represents!” I said, “If you want to meet that Farrakhan again, just come at me wrongly!” “Minister, don’t you want to apologize?” The enemy feels that he has to make a Black person bow down and if I, in my old age, start bowing down now, when I never bowed as a young man, what would you think of me? I came into this mission a man; I want to go out a greater man. I came into public attention strong; I want to go out stronger!

In this world, nations; political, educational, economic, judicial systems; art and culture; and science and technology serve Satan which makes it easier for Satan to facilitate his way. I love you (Black people). How can you tell that I love you? It is because I put my life on the line every time I open my mouth to speak truth to power. I am not in love with this world, where there are more than a billion people in the world that are struggling to survive on less than $1 a day. Over half the world’s population 3 billion people—live on less than $2 per day. How can we love a world in which 3 billion people are living on $2 a day? One child in five, in this world, did not complete primary school, and more than 14 million children in this world lost one or both parents to AIDS in 2001, and the number is growing. I just cannot love a world like this, where over 11 million children die each year from preventable diseases like malaria, diarrhea and pneumonia. Nearly 800 million people in this world suffer from chronic hunger. Every year, 6 million children die from malnutrition before their fifth birthday. Half a million women in this world die in pregnancy or childbirth. America is the greatest consumer of alcohol, cocaine, ecstasy, heroine, marijuana, methamphetamine, as well as pharmaceutical drugs. America is a major producer of marijuana and other dangerous drugs, and is the world’s money laundering center. The Illuminati (a group of highly learned men and women who wish to control the wealth of the earth) said that they want to legalize drugs and make pornography an art form so that we, in our ignorance, will either be captured by drugs or, pornography will steal our minds keeping us looking and lusting after a woman’s body, unaware of what’s happening in the world around us.

America has the largest number of citizens in prisons. The number of college-aged Black males in prisons and jails in America—583,000—is greater than the number of Black males enrolled in higher education—537,000. The United States has the highest prison population rate in the world. America leads in violent crime, homicide, rape, assault. A woman was shot to death, who bought a Playstation III. She was pregnant and bought this Playstation III for her son who was at home. A Black man came up to her for her Playstation III, shot her in the head and killed her for a game box. A young Black man was seen on television beating an elderly White woman, 101 years old, to steal $33 dollars. What have we become? We have become Satan’s disciples. We have a cross around our neck and we think that the cross says we are followers of Christ. We should look at our actions and take the cross off, unless we are willing to pick up our cross and follow him. I have picked up mine. I am trying to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. The same Jewish forces that hated Jesus, what do they think of Farrakhan? The scribes and the Pharisees, what do they think of Farrakhan? Scribe comes from the Latin word scribo, which means “I write.” What do the writers write about Farrakhan? The Bible teaches, “They hated him without a cause.” I’ve done nothing to any man, but I’m hated because I represent the Kingdom of Christ coming to the earth and I speak truth to power and I will not compromise! The scriptures also teach us if we follow him, we too will be hated for his name’s sake.

There are millions living under bridges, sleeping on cardboard boxes and on metal grates. Although Blacks constitute only 12 percent of the U.S. population, we represent 45 percent of the nation’s sheltered, homeless population. Over 1 billion people on the planet lack adequate housing, while around 100 million have no housing at all. There are 42 million Americans without health insurance. Did you know that America is 31st in the world in adult literacy? America is 18th in mathematics and 14th in science literacy. This world is going down. Question: Do we want to go down with it? Well, what should we do? The Bible teaches, “Come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins and her plagues, for her sins have reached unto heaven.” How can I come out of Babylon when I’m living in her?” Jesus was in the world, but he was not of the world. We live in Satan’s world, but we don’t have to be a part of it. I refuse to smoke, to drink, eat improper food, although I did as a young man. This (my body) is the temple of the living God. I will not destroy my body to please Satan. I fought cancer and am still fighting. I believe I will win, except that it pleases God and if it doesn’t please God that I win, I thank Him for the time He allowed me to serve. I do not fault Allah (God) for any misfortune in my life. When I went to death’s door, I never asked Allah (God) to save my life. I said to Him, “Whatever Your Will is, it is well with me.” One of these days I’m not going to be here, so all who are personality worshippers that want to make a cult out of Farrakhan, you will never be able to go in front of Allah (God) and say, ‘Farrakhan tried to make me worship him!’

I am your Brother. I serve you because I see you as greater than myself. It’s a pleasure to serve you. I’m like the waiter, that the customer can do no wrong. Some of you are so ugly in your behavior it’s difficult to serve you. I do not think you can wear me out, because my love for you is just that deep and that strong. No matter how ignorant you act, you still can not wear me out. I’m saying to all of you that desire to help me, you must not let the ignorance of our people break your spirit and wear you out. You’ve got to love deep enough to be a redeemer of our people.

I was telling one of my sons this morning; that knowledge can be a staff or a rod. When you have knowledge and will not act in accord with what you know, then your knowledge becomes a rod to beat you. However, if you follow what you know, it becomes a staff to guide you. That’s why David, the Prophet said, “Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me.” Brothers and Sisters, do not play with Allah (God) because He is very angry and we will see His Wrath coming down on America in wind, rain, snow, tornadoes, floods, earthquakes, pestilence and famine. When you see these things happening, the enemy does not wish to admit that there’s a Power present in this world greater than his power. The Bible teaches every knee will bow and every tongue will be forced to confess that He is Lord.
