Farrakhan to address Middle East Peace

released the following announcement:
The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan will hold a
press conference at 3:30 p.m. (EDT) Monday June 17, 2002 to address his
upcoming Middle East Peace Mission. The press conference will be held in
the Ballroom of the National Press Club, 529 14th St. N.W.,
Washington, D.C.
�I�m going to do everything in my power to stop this war,� the outspoken
leader of the Nation of Islam said at a press conference April 2, in
Chicago in which he discussed the Saudi Arabian Peace Proposal and the
role of religion, government and the United Nations. �If you don�t try
to stop it over there, the same will (one day) be at your doorstep,� he
warned.
The Muslim leader will discuss his intentions to travel to the tense
Middle East region and his desire to meet with leaders of Egypt, Israel
and the Palestinian Authority. He also intends to travel to Rome and
South Africa, as well as to Sudan and Zimbabwe where civil war and
tensions over land reform remain high.
