The Cultural Revolution Begins

In Search of the Messiah

The journey of life is to know God and to know yourself

"Continue then in the right way as thou art commanded, as also (should) those who turn (to Allah) with thee. And be not inordinate, (O men). Surely He is Seer of what you do."Holy Quran, Surah 11, verse 112

The basis of our Teachings in the Nation of Islam is to get a thorough Knowledge of God and a thorough Knowledge of self. In that journey and in that search there is the unveiling of the pediments of our speech and the discovery of those blockages within self that inhibit the expression of the god within. Understanding Allah, Gods purpose, as the Great Giver and Sustainer of life from the vast Unseen to the Seen, from materialization to dematerialization and again materialization is the work of a lifetime. But what is that lifetime, where does it begin and where does it end? That is determined by the way we think.

Our thoughts hold the key to everything. It is like the Great Void, the infinite unknown, until we begin exploring the unknown which ultimately manifests as the known. Nobody can do that for you, only you are the commander of your ship and the great master of your soul. Contemplation on God, His Truth and His Reality will manifest the miracles in your life. What makes a barbarian or a savage? It is one who is not cultivated in the moral principles of Truth. What then is our teaching to ourselves? To convert Truth and our experiences into a practical way of life that brings us happiness and joy. Why should it not be that way?

Do we have to remain victimized by  sorrow and unhappiness in repeated patterns of self-afflicted misery? How do we break this chain of self imposed violence? If we allow others to make decisions for us and manipulate our desires to acquire benefits for ourselves while we are live, then we have distorted the objective goals that we wish to achieve in life. Remember, we are the masters of our souls, and our destinies can  manifest to the flowering of life continuously.

The Divine Teachings of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad have set us on the path of the immortals. This means that we can make the choice of how we want to live and the number of years we wish to extend our lives. That is our responsibility. If we are dishonest, liars, cheaters and robbers, and this is the extent of what life means to us, then we are stripping our own internal resources of Divine Light and have accepted instead the dark side of our being.

All this year, in particular, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan has been attempting to expand our breast in Islam, which means peace. He has been directing our attention to the souls development within as the only path to survival and redemption that is open to us. The external world is in decay and its political and religious systems and social schools of thought have corrupted the path to God. If we continue to go with the way of the world, then we are headed for sudden destruction and oblivion. Seek Knowledge from the cradle to the grave, and perhaps instead of dying, we may have a chance in the renewal of our lives and discover immortality.

"And keep up prayer at the two ends of the day and in the first hours of the night. Surely good deeds take away evil deeds. This is a reminder for the mindful. And be patient, for surely Allah wastes not the reward of the doers of good."Holy Quran, Surah 11, verses 114 & 115

 To be continued.
