"And mention Moses in the Book. Surely he was
one purified, and was a messenger, a prophet. And We called to him
from the blessed side of the mountain, and We made him draw nigh in
communion. And We gave him out of Our mercy his brother Aaron, a
prophet." � Holy Qur�an, Surah 19, verses 51-53
In laying the foundation for the
next series of articles, I wish to
refer our readers to my book entitled, "Million Man March" which was
published in 1995 by The Final Call Publishing Co. and the Hon. Elijah
Muhammad Educational Foundation. This book contains a Foundation study
of the origin of the United States Government and its special
relationship to the Masonic Order, members of which were some of the
signers of the Declaration of Independence on July the fourth, 1776.
The Shriners literally represent the conference of the Highest Degree
which introduces the candidates to Islam, the Holy Qur�an, the Name
Allah and the Title of Muslim.
Through the Divine Teachings of the Honorable
Elijah Muhammad, we learn that Moses had a double mission, one the
delivery of a small band of Israelites from Egypt as a sign of a
future delivery of the ex-slaves of America. And, secondly, he was
assigned to Educate and Train the members of the Caucasian Race for
future rulership more than four thousand years ago. They were at that
time bottled up in the cave and hillsides of Europe living in a state
of savagery into civilization. This History is repeating itself today
in the Divine Work and Mission of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad and
his Greatest Helpmeet, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan on this
Western Side of the Horizon in America.
The following excerpt from
the Million Man March
Book, pages 21 through 23, will introduce to us some background
history of the United States Government and the Institution of Masonry
and its link to the present rulers of this land.
"In Alexandria, Virginia, stands the George
Washington Masonic Memorial, which contains some of the historical
regalia of the Masonic Order and of the Shriners and particularly
commemorates the memory of George Washington who served as a Grand
Master in the 22nd Lodge in Alexandria, Virginia. The design of this
Memorial was borrowed from the design of the Lighthouse which stood in
the harbor in Alexandria, Egypt, which was one of the ancient Seven
Wonders of the World. It was named the Pharos and was erected to guide
the ancient Mariners safely to shore. Its location in Alexandria,
Virginia, is on top of the highest hill overlooking the Potomac River.
"On the sixth floor of the towering 10-story
edifice is located the Masonic Library. In the Shrine Room there is an
exhibit showing the Shriner�s Temples and Hospitals as they are
numbered throughout North America. In a glass showcase one may view a
display of various Shriner�s fezzes adorned with Arabic names. Above
these names is placed the emblem of a Crescent-like scimitar with a
Star, symbolizing their oath of secrecy.
"For example, the fez that represents the lodge or
city of Detroit, Michigan, where the Nation of Islam began in 1930,
carries the name or Title Moslem. The fez that represents the lodge or
city of Chicago, Illinois, is named Medinah. As we will recall in the
early history of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad in his flight from
Detroit, Michigan to Chicago, Illinois, he was repeating aspects of
Prophet Muhammad�s history in his flight from Mecca to Medinah. Master
Fard Muhammad made his first public appearance in the city of Detroit,
Michigan, announcing He had come from the Holy City of Mecca and
introduced his work under the Title of Moslem. The city where the
Honorable Elijah Muhammad established the Headquarters of the Nation
of Islam is Chicago, Illinois. The Masonic name for the city of
Chicago is Medinah.
"Within this room there are several oil portraits
of at least four Presidents of the United States who were Shriners.
There are also portraits of at least four Mexican Presidents and the
last reigning Monarch of Hawaii. In the Imperial Throne Room, there is
a mural on one of the walls depicting the gathering of Pilgrims in the
Holy City of Mecca, Arabia. Centered in the mural is a replica of the
Kabah.
"Directly in front of this mural is a slightly
elevated center platform around which are placed thirteen chairs. On
the center table facing these chairs is placed a miniature copy of the
Kabah and a copy of the Holy Qur�an. We learned in our investigations
that the use of Islamic symbols was introduced a little over one
hundred years ago between 1876 and 1877. It is only after a Mason or
Moslem Son attains the 32nd degree that he can be admitted as a
Shriner.
"A Shriner learns about Islam, the history of
Prophet Muhammad and studies the Holy Qur�an. There are many Masons or
Moslem Sons who are members of the Congress and the Senate of the
United States Government. There are at least 14 Presidents who have
been acknowledged as Grand Masters. There are many others in high
places who know and recognize the identity of Master Fard Muhammad,
the Honorable Elijah Muhammad, and Minister Louis Farrakhan and our
legitimate claim and demand for a redress of our grievances and a
dignified solution to the problems of the Black Nation in America.
"The Great Seal of the United States Government
uses the image of a truncated pyramid with a missing capstone. In the
open space above the pyramid there is placed the symbol of an eye
radiating with rays of light. There are 13 course stones that lead up
to the missing capstone over which is the All-Eye Seeing. Master Fard
Muhammad made his appearance on the fourth of July, in the year 1930.
July the fourth contains 13 letters. The resolution of the numbers in
the date 1930 equals 13. He met with President Herbert Hoover, a name
which contains 13 letters. The White House contains 13 letters. The
Great Pyramid in Egypt lies on a base of 13 acres.
"A replica of the Great Seal can also be viewed in
the George Washington Masonic National Monument. The project to
construct the Masonic Memorial was initiated on February 22, 1910 and
was completed and dedicated on May 12, 1932. This event was attended
by President Hoover and his wife and several members of his Cabinet
including a long list of Government Dignitaries. This period of time
from the inception to the conclusion of the building and dedication of
the Washington Memorial covers the twenty-year period in which the
Master traveled back and forth to America and met with President
Herbert Hoover in 1930.
"As we retrace our footsteps, returning to the
Lincoln Memorial in which the ornate statue of Lincoln is poised in
the posture reminiscent of an Egyptian Pharaoh seated on his throne
focusing his gaze into the Reflecting Pool of Knowledge blends his
thoughts with memories evoked by the obelisk shaped image cast by the
Washington Monument. We are carried across the green sweeping mall
until we enter the Capitol Dome Rotunda being lifted to its outer
summit where the statue of a bronze goddess crowns the Dome�s latern
structure. It was installed at 12 noon on December 2, 1863 in the same
year when Abraham Lincoln delivered the Emancipation Proclamation."
